Endometriosis Geelong Acupuncture

Endometriosis & Acupuncture

Endometriosis is defined as the presence of endometrial growth outside of the uterus.                                                          It’s most well know symptom is painful periods, however this isn’t always the case. Although treatment may be focused upon pain management, Chinese medicine principals may be applied in order to assist in the treatment of inflammation, cycle regulation and systemic symptoms.

The treatment of endometriosis with acupuncture is multi-facited. Acupuncture facilitates a natural anti-inflammatory effect, it has a calming effect upon the nervous system and assists with pelvic blood flow. The foundation of Chinese medicine also requires individual diagnosis to be formulated, to ensure you receive the treatment that you need in order to optimise your health.

Pattern differentiation in Chinese medicine allows us to treat you as a whole. To assist with not just pain, but also hormonal balancing, digestive support and assistance with moods. Endometriosis has been identified and treated with Chinese medicine for thousands of years. Its approach may be traditional, however, these patterns are still ever present today as when they were crafted.
